ALREADY HAVE YOUR OWN ROOFER?

Solar Panel Removal
& Reinstall.

Keep your roofer. We handle the solar. We take your panels down, coordinate the handoff, and return to put your solar back to work after your roofing company finishes.

A separate solar service. An experienced team.

A SEPARATE SERVICE. A COORDINATED PROJECT.

Your roofer needs a clear roof.
We make the solar part manageable.

You may already have a roofing contract, a tear-off date, and your new shingles picked out. Then comes the question: who removes the solar panels and puts them back?

That is exactly what this service is for. Team All Star handles the agreed solar removal and reinstallation scope while your roofing company handles the roof. You do not have to purchase a roof replacement from us to ask for this service.

We review the existing equipment, roof access, roofing schedule, mounting details, and return-to-service needs before preparing your proposal. The goal is a clear handoff between two trades, with each company’s responsibilities understood before work begins.

PANELS OFF. YOUR ROOFER WORKS. PANELS BACK ON.

One practical sequence for your project.

01 · TEAM ALL STAR

Check and remove the solar

Review the existing system, document its condition, and remove the agreed equipment so your roofer can access the roof. Confirm handling, storage, and the planned return before the array comes down.

02 · YOUR ROOFING COMPANY

Your roofer completes the roof

Your roofing company carries out its contracted work. We coordinate around its schedule and discuss the roof material, mounting and flashing interface, access, and readiness for solar reinstallation.

03 · TEAM ALL STAR

Reinstall and check operation

Once the roof is ready, we reinstall suitable existing equipment using the agreed compatible mounting approach, complete our electrical scope, and check system operation before the solar handoff.

WHAT WE REVIEW WITH YOU

More than taking panels off the roof.

Existing-system review

Panel count, equipment type, visible condition, operating status, monitoring access, and available system records. Existing faults are identified as part of the review rather than assumed to be new removal damage.

Removal and handling

The shutdown, removal sequence, equipment identification, access, and protection plan are set out for your project. Storage location and any off-site transport must be agreed in the written scope.

Scheduling with your roofer

We ask for the roofing contact and anticipated dates. Removal and return visits are coordinated with the roofing work; weather, concealed repairs, inspection timing, or changed dates can affect the sequence.

Mounting and roof interface

We review the new roof material, attachment points, flashing approach, and compatibility of existing racks and hardware. Equipment that cannot be safely reused is discussed and priced before additional work is approved.

Reinstallation and reconnect

Suitable existing panels and associated components are returned under the agreed scope. Tell us about planned layout changes, equipment upgrades, or a different roof assembly before the proposal is finalized.

Operating checks and handoff

We review operation before removal when accessible and check the agreed system after reinstallation. Any unresolved equipment issue, monitoring access requirement, or approval needed before restart is explained.

CLEAR RESPONSIBILITIES

Your roofer owns the roofing scope.
We own our solar scope.

With separate companies, a good project starts with clear responsibilities. Your roofing company remains responsible for its roofing work. Team All Star’s proposal identifies our solar removal, handling, reinstallation, attachments, flashing, and electrical work, together with applicable written warranty terms.

Before work starts, we discuss the interface between the new roof and solar mounts with you and your roofer. We do not automatically take responsibility for roofing performed by another company or pre-existing system faults.

Would you prefer one company for both trades? Our Roof + Solar service includes roof replacement as a separate, combined project option.

A USEFUL ESTIMATE STARTS WITH YOUR SYSTEM

Tell us what is on the roof—and when your roofer needs it clear.

Pricing depends on the actual system and property. The proposal should explain the solar work, expected visits, included handling, return scope, and any separately priced items.

  • Your property address and a daytime contact number.
  • Panel count, system age, and inverter or micro-inverter information, if known.
  • Your roofer’s company name, contact, and anticipated roof dates.
  • Roof height, access limitations, and the new roofing material.
  • Any existing fault, monitoring issue, damaged component, or planned layout change.
  • Whether the system is owned, leased, or covered by a power purchase agreement.

Leased or PPA equipment may require the system owner’s authorization or an approved contractor. Share the provider’s requirements before scheduling. Do not disconnect or remove solar equipment yourself.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Already hired your roofer?
You are in the right place.

We can discuss removal and reinstallation as its own project. Final suitability, scheduling, included work, and pricing are confirmed after reviewing your system.

Can I use this service if I already hired a roofing company?

Yes. This service is designed for homeowners using their own roofer. Team All Star handles the agreed solar removal and reinstallation while your roofing company performs the roof work. You do not need to purchase a roof replacement from us.

What is included in a removal and reinstallation quote?

Your proposal identifies the system review, removal, handling and storage arrangements, return visit, compatible mounting approach, electrical work, and operating checks included for your property. Additional parts, repairs, off-site storage, or design changes are included only when specified.

Will you coordinate dates with my roofer?

We discuss the removal and return sequence using your roofer’s schedule and contact information. Share any tear-off date, roof-completion target, access restriction, or inspection milestone before booking. Dates are confirmed for the project and may change if roofing or weather conditions change.

Where do the panels go while the roof is being replaced?

The protection and storage plan is agreed before removal. Tell us what secure, accessible space is available. On-site storage, off-site transport, and responsibility while equipment is stored are confirmed in the written scope; off-site storage is not automatically included.

Can all of my existing equipment be reused?

Not automatically. We review the panels, rails, attachments, wiring, and other affected equipment for condition and compatibility with the proposed roof. If something needs repair or replacement, we explain the issue and the additional scope before proceeding.

Who is responsible for the roof and solar warranties?

Your roofer is responsible for its roofing scope. Team All Star is responsible for our agreed solar work under our written terms. Mounting, flashing, access, and the interface between the two scopes should be resolved before work begins. We do not take over another company’s roof warranty.

What if the solar is leased or under a PPA?

Tell us who owns or services the system. The system owner may require authorization, a particular contractor, or a specified process before removal and reinstallation. Review those requirements before scheduling; a homeowner request alone may not authorize work on provider-owned equipment.

How much will removal and reinstallation cost?

We quote the actual property and system. Panel count, roof height and access, equipment condition, mounting compatibility, storage, electrical work, and scheduling needs affect the scope. Send your location, roofer information, approximate panel count, and planned dates for an estimate.

Will the panels generate power while they are off the roof?

The affected array is not generating normally while it is removed. We coordinate the return after your roofer confirms the roof is ready and review the steps needed for restart, including any applicable approval or unresolved equipment issue.
