Map the existing services
Gather available information about electrical equipment, water, sewer or septic, drainage and existing service routes. Confirm capacity and connection requirements with the appropriate providers and professionals.
Review access and special conditions
Share known easements, hillside conditions, retaining walls, trees and limited side-yard access. Identify coastal, fire or other overlays for agency review. These conditions may call for additional investigation.
Coordinate the whole-home work
Discuss roofing, windows, insulation, heating and cooling, and solar as part of the final scope. ADU window work may require new openings rather than retrofit products. Coordinate energy and solar requirements with the project design team.
